I Haven’t done pub nights for years, but after a great night at The Gate Inn, Diggle in March, it looks as though this is going to be repeated every couple of months. The next one is May 7th

New Years Eve Holmfirth style

NYE Holmfirth style
A great party at Piccolinos in Holmfirth on New Years eve. I will be playing the same venue NYE 2016 so book early!
Glow!
1940s style
It always makes a change to do something a little different, so I enjoyed being at the Sands Recreation Park in Holmfirth last weekend, providing the music for the WW2 weekend. I will try to get hold of a couple of photos of the event.
Marquee wedding
Usually I play on flat flooring, but as you can see, the floor in the marquee on Saturday was a little out, so my speakers didn’t quite stay vertical. The crowd were great. 90’s dance and modern house were definitely the choice of the guests. This is the first time I have used all four speakers (usually two are more than enough) and they sounded great.
New Year
December has been so busy I haven’t had time to update things, but I am looking forward to another year of parties and events.
We finished off the year in The Holmfirth Picturedrome, where I played around two live acts. Two young ladies named White Wolves played a great set of songs, then the night turned into a fantastic party when SAS & The Groove took to the stage. A seven piece band played a wide range of tunes, from classic Fleetwood Mac up to current hits. The band are based in Holmfirth and played a fantastic professional set to a great crowd. If anyone wants a party band for their event let me know. I will get some photos uploaded soon.
Pink Ball 2014
One of my biggest events of the year was last night at The Marriott hotel in Leeds, for my second year at The Pink Ball, helping to raise money for cancer charities. Mood lighting round the room, a larger than usual sound system and a late finish.
Thankfully everything went well. After the meal, auction and an X Factor style competition, I played for the last two hours, finishing at 2am. Great crowd and a packed dancefloor. And hopefully lots of money raised for the cause.

What a weekend
Last weekend Holmfirth saw Le Tour come through. To celebrate, The Picturdrome hosted a whole weekend of life music. I got to play in the main room after Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), T-Rextasy and Craig Charles.
As well as the headlining bands we also has The Habeneros playing all three days, The Dans (I really don’t know what name they were playing under, but they are nearly all called Dan!, and a Classical Duo. I ended up providing sound systems for all of these. Ended up completely exhausted but it was a great weekend.
